Privacy at PromptSprout
Last updated July 24, 2026. This draft describes the intended product design and is not a substitute for formal legal review before commercial launch.
Our approach
PromptSprout is designed to collect less information about children. A parent or guardian owns the account and billing relationship. Learner profiles use a nickname, built-in avatar, and broad age band.
Information we intend to collect
- Parent email address and authentication records.
- Payment and subscription identifiers handled through Stripe.
- Nickname-only learner profiles and broad age bands.
- Project progress, completion status, and optional learning reflections.
- Limited first-party product events needed to understand whether learning flows work.
Information we do not need
PromptSprout does not ask learners for a full name, personal email, school, precise location, phone number, photograph, social account, or public profile.
How information is used
Information supports authentication, learner progress, membership access, product operation, safety, and support. The MVP is not designed for behavioral advertising, selling learner data, or public sharing.
Parent choices
Parents can manage membership through the billing portal and request access, correction, export, or deletion through the account area. Production contact details, retention periods, subprocessors, consent procedures, and regional notices must be finalized during legal review.
Children’s privacy review
Because PromptSprout is intended for ages 8–13, the commercial service must complete appropriate COPPA, UK Children’s Code, and applicable regional privacy assessments before launch.
